About DMD

The Corpus Christi Downtown Management District is a professional management district representing property owners within the Downtown area bounded by Kinney Street to I-37, and Lower Broadway to the T-Heads.
The District was created in 1993 at the request of private sector leadership. At that time, a special assessment was levied to provide the financial resources necessary to operate programs to improve the image of Downtown.

Mission
The Corpus Christi Downtown Management District (DMD) is a state-authorized improvement district established and governed by property owners to influence and enhance a positive environment for the economic base of Downtown.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors meets on the second Thursday of each month at the Boater's Facility on the Lawrence Street T-Head commencing at 9am. These are public meetings (except for expressly authorized executive sessions) and are governed by the Open Meetings Act.
