The District was created in 1993 at the request of private sector leadership. At that time, a special assessment was levied to provide the financial resources necessary to operate programs to improve the image of Downtown.
Mission
The Corpus Christi Downtown Management District (DMD) is a state-authorized improvement district established and governed by property owners to influence and enhance a positive environment for the economic base of Downtown.Board of Directors
The Board of Directors meets on the second Thursday of each month at the Boater's Facility on the Lawrence Street T-Head commencing at 9am. These are public meetings (except for expressly authorized executive sessions) and are governed by the Open Meetings Act.
